, The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) is the cornerstone college of The Ohio State University, with three mission areas dedicated to one essential purpose: We Sustain Life. CFAES is one college spread across three campuses, with our faculty and staff split evenly among the three campuses.
Comprised of ten academic units including the School of Environment and Natural Resources and Ohio State ATI, plus Ohio State University Extension, CFAES has 22 bachelors degree majors, 26 associate degree majors, and 34 minors. The team is responsible for setting marketing and communication strategies and plans that align with the initiatives and priorities of the college. The team supports the recruitment, retention, development, research, outreach, and issues management for the college.
They are a group of strategic marketing and communication thinkers and doers who are both proactive and reactive, identifying opportunities and removing challenges to elevate awareness, enhance reputation and ultimately inspire choice for the college. The Project Manager will manage project workflows for the CFAES Marketing and Communications team.
They will report to report to the Strategy and Planning Lead. Position Summary The Project Manager will oversee the workflow of projects for CFAES, ensuring work flows efficiently from intake to final delivery.
The Project Manager will work closely with the marketing and communications team, serving as a traffic manager for all projects. With a strong attention to detail, ability to provide clear direction and timely feedback, they will understand application of brand guidelines and confirm final project deliverables are on time, on budget and on brand.
With experience and strong skills in managing several requests and project deadlines, the Project Manager will prioritize daily and weekly project deliverables, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner provide project status updates and facilitate decisions among stakeholders. The Project Manager will leverage project management tools to effectively resource, monitor, execute and report on projects.
This is a hybrid role, with a combination of remote and in-office work. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in traffic or project management experience with an advertising, marketing or public relations agency, in-house agency, design studio, creative department or related environment.
Experience with production of print and digital assets. Experience using a project management tool to manage timelines, resources and budgets.
Experience prioritizing deadlines and last-minute requests and being responsive to requests. Highly motivated individual with an acute attention to detail.
Desired Experience 2-4 years of relevant experience; Knowledge and familiarity with higher education; ability to communicative effectively with diverse audiences; superior oral, written, editing, and presentation skills; proven ability to deliver projects that achieve strategic objectives, on-time and on-budget; Great collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The salary range for this position is $64,300.00 – $84,550.00, pay offer will fall within this range, based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
